What is better to use, Wayland or x11?

Hello Zorin community,
When I log in to the desktop using X11 and open Conky, the minimize and expand window buttons appear alongside the close button at the top.

However, when logging in via Wayland and opening Conky, only the close button appears.

Why is this happening? What will I lose if I switch permanently to an X11 session? Will all applications work on it? What is the highest RAM consumption threshold?

Everything will Work.
X11 Is the standard stable Display Protocol.
Wayland is an experimental unstable Display Protocol.
There is much that does not work on Wayland, including Rermmina and Nvidia.

When You are on Wayland, did You checked in gnome-tweaks if the Settings for the min/max/close Buttons are resetted? Maybe this happened because of the switch.

In common I would say: When you are using Zorin and a Nvidia Card X11 is the better Choice. Using Programs depends from the individual Program.

Besides RAM
consumption being a bit higher in X11,
Also, regarding screenshots:
If I right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select the 'Take Screenshot' option from the context menu, or if I press the 'PrtScn' key on the keyboard,
The screenshot tool doesn't respond in this case.
However, in Wayland, everything works as expected.
Is this happening only on my system?

I don't have the "Take Screenshot" option (I'm on 17.2 Core, maybe that's why), but the screenshot tool work fine for me under both Wayland and Xorg.

Can you install gnome-screenshot and try with that? Just to verify if it's an issue with screenshots in general, or just with the built-in utility. Note that you might need to launch it from the applications menu like any other app, as the keyboard shortcut is probably hard-coded already.
