I do a lot of computer refurbishing with mostly older (2008 onwards) but some newer desktops and laptops. For me Zorin provides the following better than any other distro I've tried:

  1. The user interface is very much like Windows so users transitioning from Windows are more comfortable with it.
  2. The Educational version provides a ready to go system for students - my main target audience.
  3. Performance is decent even on older machines with 2-4GB RAM
  4. The software library is quite extensive and easily accesible.
  5. It respects my privacy unlike Windows.
  6. It's free (except for the Pro version) and opensource.
  7. The support forum is excellent and responsive.

These are my biggest reasons for using Zorin:

-No collection of massive amounts of telemetry
-Privacy focused
-Minamilist clean interface, taskbar, menus etc
-No more updates taking years to install

Zorin opened the path for me to further understand and learn Linux. Forever grateful. :heart:

I like it because of the customization and I like to tinker .... with windows I couldn't customize anything .... it was a big learning curve but I finally survived and enjoying every minute of it .....
