What version of NVIDIA drivers is "baked-in" ...?

What version of NVIDIA drivers is "baked in" on the current Zorin OS 17.3 Pro ISO? Thanks.

If nothing has changed, You can find an Explanation here:

Thank you very much. So, 550 and 570. But now it begs the question: Which set of NVIDIA drivers does the Zorin Group officially recommend? 550 or 570? If the Zorin Group doesn't reply here, OK - which set of drivers does the Zorin OS community recommend? Would help to know which drivers work best.

What Nvidia Card to You have?

Well - I re-bought the RTX 2060 Super I got before. I returned the other one. But after doing further research, I realized it was truly the best NVIDIA card for me. It's almost as good as the 6600 XT I have, and the brand I got was truly priced well (in comparison to other NVIDIA cards out there). Would be good to have both AMD and NVIDIA options (with either acting as a backup card for the future; you never know). I don't have it yet, but I will today. Just asking ahead of time to get ready.

One more thing, please. The last time I installed NVIDIA drivers in Zorin OS, I noticed there were "open" kernel drivers (not the Noveau drivers) and proprietary drivers. Which one should I pick, and why? What's the difference? Thanks again.

Update: So I consulted with Google Gemini. Now I understand about the open kernel drivers. Got it. And Google Gemini even recommends that I go with these, too. Now the question is, which driver version number do I pick? 550 or 570?

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Update # 2: So it looks like I should pick the 570 open kernel drivers. That's the short of it. Apparently, according to Gemini, the 550 series drivers stopped receiving security updates as of April 2025 (and reached "end-of-support" in February 2025). Also, Gemini explained that Phoronix reported that with the open kernel driver, performance is the same (pretty much) as the proprietary drivers. So, OK. Now I guess I know which driver I'll install later. Thanks, anyhow.

Additionally, as you might find in some other threads, a few of us, myself included, have had issues with the proprietary license version we didn't have with the open license version. I've found this to be the case both with Zorin-provided drivers and Nvidia's own .run installer, on 570, 575 beta, and 575.
