This isn't anything major to me, but I saw that in one of the discussions. Someone said that they're of Ukrainian heritage. Is there any source for that? I looked them up, there were Kirill Zorin and Artem. But none of them explicitly mentioned they work on Zorin, I may have missed something though!
They are Ukrainians.

They are in Ireland, where they grew up, of Ukrainian descent in origin.
Likely, this is as complex for them, as most other people. I could not list all my origins, in relation to where I have lived, in a short list.
But if you are curious, Irish-Ukrainian is the reduced label.

I actually liked that interview, that was back when Zorin OS's logo, was round like a planet, and not octagon like a stop sign. IMO, they should have kept the round sphere style logo with the Z on it. Every interview they seem down to Earth guys, I just don't agree with every business decision they make in the pipeline. OS 18 was released too early, has issues, still waiting to be fixed. Also, OS 18 Lite has still yet to be released too.
I have mixed feelings about the logo. When I look at it and focus on the octagon and Z in it, it looks lame. But when I look at it as individual parts it reminds me of broken shards of glass and it looks really cool😂 guess I will keep a positive outlook!
Edit:
An idea popped into my head. Imagine the Zorin brothers investing in an advertisment for ZorinOS as a Windows replacement. It shows Win11 logo which is smashed by a hammer (or something else), the window glass falls down and it transitions to a Zorin logo forming out of the broken shards. Add some light reflection effects and this would look really good.
