When do you think Zorin will adopt the 24.04.1 LTS

It would be nice to see a move over to 24.04.1 LTS ... I think ubuntu Jammy is a bit outdated - I noticed one machine I have does not have the driver for the sound properly working, which is unusual... I like Zorin because I don't have to fiddle with much out of the box - I'm not interested in the linux pulling your hair out and hacking your way through things.

Also I may be wrong but it would appear some apps are using the same Jammy would be using - store version - when i've tested latest ubuntu the versions are much more up to date.

Any idea if these things will make it to 17.3 perhaps?

Otherwise this is still by far the fastest OS for me to date ... One problem Ive had with Ubuntu non stop, is when it crashes it has in the past sometimes destroyed the os completely unbootable -- i have never experienced this problem when shutting down or turning off zorin immediately without proper shutdown ... Who knows why, don't really care - maybe cache, read write options ... either way i know the OS is stable on total meltdown

Thanks all.

Zorin 18 based on 24.04 will be out next year some time. You can watch the blog or get the news letter. https://blog.zorin.com

Yes , 24.04

Can you provide a link to when this will happen? I didn't find anything on the blog a site or an estimate ... I'm not all that worried, but do think some things need to be updated to stay in-line with current software store updates etc.

24.04.1 did run on an old mac computer - but zorin had some deficiencies in regards ... Display driver issues (non-nvidia). I may try latest update etc. on that machine and see how it runs.

There is no Date now when Zorin 18 will be released. It comes when it's done. In a Video-Interview a While ago (is here in a Forum-Thread) with one of the Zorin Brothers was said if I remember right, that it could come in 2nd or 3rd Quarter next Year.
