The only difference between updating in the terminal and with the software updater that comes with zorinOS, is that updates appear in the software updater (sorry for the redundancy) that do not appear in the terminal. And one more thing, the frequency with which zorinOS releases updates, in my previous distribution every day I had at least one update, although they were not big changes-
In many of my Computers, Shutting down the updates from Software Store was not a great option, I recommend to turn the updates to notify only in order to stop the software store from automatically installing and downloading updates partially and run sudo apt update and upgrade once a week. This will be Great for you as I have seen the Software Store Install the wrong Updates and breaking systems.
