Why can't I change the time and date on Zorin OS Lite?

Every time I right click on the time I see that the properties button doesn't work any more. When I first installed Zorin OS Lite I was able to click on the properties button and change the time and date. But I can't any more. Is there a way to fix this?

Can you press alt+F2 and in the popup window that opens, run xfce4-panel --restart
Then right click the Panel Clock and test the Properties.

I have never heard of this particular issue. I wonder if your timezone is locked in somehow.

I think you probably have this figured by now, but for future readers -
You can bypass the GUI and manually set the date/time with " date -s " as root in the terminal.

See ' man date ' for more info.
If your timezone is messed up then run ' tzconfig ' and it will tell you to dpkg-reconfigure tzdata to set it.
