Why is this thing constantly appearing for me?

There are updates missing but as I already wrote you, there are probably still problems with the server so that updates fail.

Those are Flatpak runtimes, libraries that Flatpak packages need to run properly. There are different versions of these runtimes named after the Gnome version that they target, 48 in this case.

These are also downloaded from Flathub, not the Ubuntu repositories, so there should not be any issue with the connection unless it's more widespread that it appears.

@Luantis To keep things brief, those are updates for some of your installed applications. They tend to be quite large and it's possible that the download stops halfway through, but they are normal and recommended to install.

...IF using Flatpak.

They are exclusive to Flatpak dependencies, not to the Zorin OS system.

Thanks for the explanation, Zenzen and Aravisian. I had never seen this on my system before, but I don't use flatpaks either. I was confused because it was talking about Gnome 48.

Of course, I'm only assuming that to be the case because of the update available. Otherwise, it would be a huge download for nothing :joy:

Those are Flatpak packages. Try updating with a terminal command instead:

flatpak update

These aren't the entire packages, just the code that needs to be changed. So generally very small.

Like everybody said, their Flatpak updates. APPS & system updates are a regular occurrence, heck, my system updates almost daily for the APPS themselves.

Just be grateful you are not on Windows11, & that you have an SSD with a Phison controller, or you'd be buying a new SSD, after Windows corrupts your drive via an update. Of course Microsoft denied fault, but its already been proven by now.
