WiFi adapter not connecting on initial boot of Zorin OS

Hello,

I am having an issue with my WiFi adapter on Zorin OS. When I first turn on my computer and boot into Zorin OS, my adapter is unable to connect. But, If I boot into Windows first, and then switch back to Zorin OS, my adapter is able to connect to the network.

I have tried troubleshooting and looking for solutions online, but I have not been able to find a fix for this problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution? I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely, Raiden

Please could you give us the make and model of the wifi adapter - is it USB or is this a desktop PCIe wifi adapter?

Sure :')

Thanks for the photos. Whilst in Zorin and with the adapter attached, please ipen a terminal and enter:

sudo lsusb

and post back the results please.

According to Linux hardware.org it shouldn't be working at all:

But I did find this which might help.

Looks like you have to recompile the driver after each Linux kernel update.

For future reference I would advise purchasing hardware from proven Linux vendors:
