My wifi adaptor wont work and isnt showing in the system tray anymore.Its listed in additional drivers but wont function.Tried various commands suggested on the net but to no avail.
Open the Terminal and type sudo apt reinstall rtl8812au-dkms and if there should be any Errors please post them here.
after a few hours asking chat gpt ive managed to solve the problem ,thank you for your input.
Was the solution given by chat gpt same as that offered by Ponce-De-Leon, as you marked his post as Solution.

Could You describe the Solution here? It could help other's with the same Issue.
i will go through chat gpt tomorrow and post some screen shots theres hours of chats but basically involved making sure the old dkms install was deleted and a different source of driver installed.
