Sorry community, I wanted to ask what is installed with Wine, is there also mono and gecko?
I'm actually not sure about by default, to be honest. Its been a while since I have had a fresh install that I won't be able to check for a bit. I do know that in the past, typically during the install phase of whatever program it happened to be, it would try to pull in a version of mono and gecko at that point. But that could be antiquated knowledge at this point.
It isn't antiquated knowledge
The other day I was messing around with a wine frontend on debian (q4wine i think it was), saw Internet Explorer was installed with wine by default, got curious if it would actually work with modern websites, and as soon as it opened it prompted me to download gecko. Clicked yes, progress bar appears, and then wine internet explorer works
I also remember getting the same prompt before but for mono. I'm not sure if it was with undertale yellow or utmt, all I remember it behaved the same: click continue and it succesfully downloads itself
With this, I can also confirm that they do not come installed by default if you get them from the official wine repositories. No idea about ubuntu's repackaging though
