i am a developer and servicing engineer but most of the tools i use for device servicing in windows are not working on this linux distro please improve the windows app support to be able to install most windows software
Hello,
In such cases it will be best to keep a Windows computer at hand.
Please visit wineHQ to see and/or report issues with wine: https://www.winehq.org/ if you want to continue the endeavor to explore running Windows application on Linux.
Hi and welcome.
Might I respectfully suggest as a partial solution that you create a Ventoy USB thumb drive and install Hiren's Boot CD .iso onto it, boot off that and use the Windows applications whilst running Hiren's Boot CD. It worked for another forum member on here who could only update their BIOS with an .exe. Hiren's Boot CD uses a WinPE version of Windows 11.
Welcome to the Forum!
As an Alternative to WINE, maybe Winboat could be worth a Try. OR: When You Machine has the Capacities use a VM with Windows on it or create a Dual-Boot System.
Also, it would be a good Idea when You would contact the Developers/Companies of the Software that You want use and bring up the Support of Linux for their Programs.
