In Zorin 17, it is already installed. All you have to do is activate it by switching it on in the Extensions app.
Before you do that, attached is a screenshot of what it looks like. As you use more workspaces, it expands to show them.

It kind of uglies up the tray. That's one reason I'm staying with v16 which shows just the number. You can mitigate the clutter by moving the clock to the left side of the Taskbar.
Any way to get the numbered thing in v17? I too like it numbered.
Maybe this one? Here you get numbers.
Personally, I like the original suggestion, because it has little window icons in each box to suggest what you've put there there.
