Would you like zorin as daily driver and why?

I would choose Zorin. It is Linux. You will become proficient using the command line and tinkering with your configuration. If you are looking to an IT career, then I think it may also aid understanding of some linux server concepts used in the professional IT world. Thats my opinion, others may contradict me.

i know but some people say mac is really close to linux, tho i know mac os is based on unix which has nothing to do with linux. but what if mac is much more stable and comfortable to use and i can still use it like linux what others claim?

EDIT: I just read FP's post, which she must have done same time as me. She has approached the same question from a different angle. i.e. what machine will be best for your coursework and be able to run software used by your college. You should check out what software the college uses and what file formats they will expect your coursework to be presented in.

haa, all my college work can be done in mac,windows or linux anything. actually for linux i'll have to use wine but actually that app is available on zorin so i guess that will work good.

Make sure the app you wish to use really does run OK in WINE. Do not assume all Windows apps work fine or you could be in for a dissapointment. Make sure you test it on WINE.

If you know what you are doing, both are equally stable.
If ever problem arises, you can solve most of everything in Linux.
But problem solving is not that easy in Mac.

Most of my husbands colleagues (musicians) are Mac users and the money they have to pay to Mac certified specialist is outrageously high. When I heard of 400 Euro bill given for Trojan removal, I rolled my eye balls. For that kind of money, I could get a brand new laptop.

While there also are few apps which you need to purchase in Linux, I'd say over 95% apps are free of charge. And some of them are professional quality. Nothing is cheaper than free (TM)

well that's too high i guess these new m1 macs have software failures and crashes too

i guess i am gonna stick with zorin and windows dual boot, windows just for the company people if something goes wrong.

Im using Zorin 16, but i have dual boot with windows 11.

Im try to only use linux, and at least for 4 month using Zorin full time.

Now my next step is change the disk, to get Zorin with 512Gb disk and windows 256Gb.

I Have Zorin on SSD often login to him.
One hard disk for testing linux distribution . Two big hard disk (music and data files)
Next hard disk for games.
Next for some windows when i need something.
So it is 6 hard disk and many pendrive's.
I have also some 28GB SSD but they are uselles because all operating systems are to big.
I could using linux but then i need a list what i really need and don't using more some windows system or mac.

Yes yes, must have a big garage called SSD garage, storage for all your keepsakes, including a junk drawer for the things you thought you lost. This is the way we do it, on Zorin OS.

Why i cannot full directly forward to Zorin? With many years I am addicted windows. Trying saying to people who smoke many years and quit that with next time. This need a process. Besides I have a hdd where i testing diffrent distros. Always have some new experience. I wondering why Foss don't put on list Zorin for gamers on there websides.

I know and now zorin supports wine better than Ubuntu and other distros. So eventually we can play any windows games.

You do not need a garage to keep many SSD/HDD.
My system:

Each box can store up to four 2,5 inch disks.

The label "Hack" does not mean I am working for some underground organizations.
It contains my Hackintoch installed disks which I was using 2 years ago.
