XFCE Thunar shortening file names

I used to use KDE plasma desktop and in that dolphin file manager the naming of file was use to be max two lines and rest hidden followed by extension. But in xfce desktop if my file name is of 10 lines i can't shorten it.
Only way is to manually rename but that's a very tough task if i have many files.
Is there any other way??

Note : Image attached. That PDF has very long name.

I use Nemo file manager on Zorin OS lite, which uses the same ellipses as Gnomes Nautilus uses.
That may be one way of resolving your issue.

sudo apt install nemo

Perhaps using the command line. By opening the terminal and trying to change the name by using the "sudo mv" command.
