I have installed xlibre in Zorin 18 live session because Swarfendor wrote about it and I've never heard about that.
How can I check if it is running?
There is no cogwheal where I could switch to another session type and terminal shows x11. So I'm not sure if it is xorg or xlibre and how I can switch between both.
Normally, I would say on the Login Screen but when You are in Live Mode this isn't possible ...
Otherwise, I always had a gear icon when I created a second user with password login and then installed other desktops. Then I switched at the loginscreen with the cogwheal between the desktops.
I did the same thing now, but there is no gear icon. That's why I'm wondering if xlibre simply overwrites xorg or if it doesn't work.

No, I haven't noticed anything unusual.
First I had tried this guide which was shown for Zorin, but it failed running the sudo apt update command and gave an error about i386 not supported for the new repository.
I clicked on the link here at Zorin
But I removed everything, also cleaned the sources before I tried it with the other guide.
When You type in Terminal apt list xlibre or apt search xlibre is it listed as installed? If yes, it is at least on Your System.
Xlibre is shown as installed.
Okay, then it's there. Then the Problem is how to switch in Live Mode ... the only Idea what come to my Mind would be using miniOS
It is intended to run on USB. but if You get XLibre there to run, I don't know. It is based on Debian and uses xfce. It doesn't need much RAM.
