XP-Pen Star 03 not working on Zorin OS 16.1 Pro

Hello there,

I have a XP-Pen Star 03 tablet, did install the latest drivers from the vendors homepage (did try .deb and tar.gz). The pentablet app does not recognize my tablet though. Nor have I found any solutions to add or configure a pen tablet from Zorin OS settings. Yes the tablet is connected by cable and does even respond when I touch it with the pen (blue lights go on).

Would love to hear about solutions, if you happen to know any.

Thanks a lot.

Not quite the same symptoms, but can you check if this tip helps?

I have the same tablet working flawlessly on Gimp (who needs Photoshop?).
The pentablet driver really doesn't works, but the open driver Digimend, works perfectly.
Download here: Release v10 · DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers · GitHub
Then install the driver: sudo dpkg -i digimend-dkms_10_all.deb.
Reboot Zorin OS 16.1 Pro.
After that, you have to create a script file to activate the buttons on the tablet.
More information here: How to Install DIGImend Huion/XP-Pen Driver in Linux & Set-up Express Keys - YouTube
Cheers.

Thank you so much. Could you add your script? That would be awesome.

Thank you. @Vindix007 solution works fine for me. Haven't found the time to try yours yet. But I will look into it.

No worries, if the provided solution works, no sense in trying to fix what is no longer broken.
