Zorin 16.3 pro vs. Zorin 17 - Comparison

over that last couple of months, have muddled my way from Win10Pro to 6.5;
AFAIK, 6.5 "pro" (? - the paid version).
First what are the most significant differences between Zorin 6.5 and Zorin 7?
Next, is 7 Ultimate actually 17?
likewise, what is the difference between the two?

This will be the last of my Win10 machines to be migrated to Zorintopia;
CPU:
Intel Xeon E5 v2 @ 2.50GHz 34 °C
Ivy Bridge-EP/EX 22nm Technology
Intel Xeon E5 v2 @ 2.50GHz 37 °C

RAM:
64.0GB DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
LENOVO LENOVO (CPU 0) 29 °C
Graphics:

PL2474H (1920x1080@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (NVIDIA) 33 °C
This is an old, industrial-grade Lenovo C30
Affectionately named: "the Beast"
(after hauling this up 4 floors of stairs, one would understand why)
I am very grateful for the community support I have received in my transition to Linux
Something I REALLY appreciated was the capability to copy/paste from forum answers directly to the "Terminal" screen... (something difficult with the former DOS Command Prompt)
thanks for any useful info,
John

Are you referring to Zorin OS?
The latest release of Zorin OS Stable is Zorin OS 16.3.

Zorin OS 17 is in Beta (Public) testing.

Zorin OS 6 was released in 2012 and it did not have a point release of 6.5

We are happy to announce that Zorin OS 17 will be released on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Yes, all about Zorin OS...
my mistake: 16.3, not 6.5 (as reflected in Settings/"about": 64-bit, windowing system "X11")
... which may explain my misunderstanding regarding "7" (next sequential after "6.5")
17 being the next phase... "ultimate" being the paid version?
Any significant differences between 16.3 and 17?
Have read that 17 has simplified transition from other OS's... (i.e. Win, Mac)
again, thank you.

As stated before, have been bumbling my way through Win10 - 16.3 ( with super assistance from the community)

What are the particularly noteworthy differences between 16.3 and 17? ( i.e. wait the few days before migrating my last Win10 machine to 17 "Ultimate"? or, stick with 16.3 already on my USB pen-drive? or, download 17 beta and update to all the "goodies"?)
Thank you for any useful info,
John

On December 20th, the ZorinGroup will release Zorin OS 17 which will also include a full announcement of the new features of Zorin OS 17. This will include performance upgrades, smart desktop and workspace management, search functions, spatial desktop, new layouts and more.
While I would love to give all the details, the ZorinGroup put a lot of work into their announcement and I wouldn't want to jump ahead.

I would recommend testing the Zorin OS Beta currently available on a LiveUSB just to get a look around and a feel for it.

Zorin OS Ultimate is now Zorin OS Pro and includes a more professionally minded suite of software.
Zorin OS Pro is the pay for version. Core and Lite are as always, free.
