Zorin 16 Crashes Hard on Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel - CC314-72G-72SX

I have an acer conceptd 3 ezel cc314-72g-72sx, with the following specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

1tb nvme drive

I can install Zorin, and all of the hardware seems to work fine. Touchscreen, pen tablet screen, touchpad, etc. It runs great for awhile but eventually does a hard freeze/crash, usually while running a web browser. I've tried Chromium, Chrome and Firefox. I install all of the updates, and have tried with both the open source and Nvidia graphics drivers, it doesn't seem to make a difference.Has anyone else here tried to use Zorin on this particular hardware? Is there a good way to get a system condition or snapshot when a hard freeze or crash occurs? I have to hold the power button down to reset it. Sometimes corrupts ssd, and I have to reformat it before trying again.
Thanks for any advice.
Also I have tried both the full and lite versions of Zorin 16.2 and 16.3, pro.
I am dying to get windows 10 off of this laptop.

Have you checked for any firmware updates to the SSD? Unfortunately, firmware updates can only be undertaken in Windows - SSD manufacturers only cater for Widnows and MacOS to do it.

Install 17 - no hassles on that. Is your HD ssd style? If not - boot will take a bit, but the rest will move with alacrity. It will be a better experience due to all that the newer kernels bring with them concerning running system hardware. Recommend updating HDs to ssd style as well for much quicker starting, and running of programs - easy switch out.

I have not, but I will give that a try. Thanks.

Yes, 1tb nvme ssd. I will try updating the hd's firmware and see how it goes from there. Thanks for your help.
