I was installing GPT4all and it said I needed a newer version of GLIBC to install it. So I was dumb so I installed it in root with make. I than tried launching apps but I got segmentation fault so I rebooted and got a kernel panic. I tried my other kernels and recovery mode and I just cant boot. Reinstalling is not an option because I have important stuff on there and it happend while I was backing up. Please help.
You can try booting into Recovery Mode from the Advanced Options in Grub Menu, then dropping to Root Prompt.
From there, run the commands to use make to uninstall the package you installed to elevate glibc.
You can then use dpkg -i to install the .deb package (EDIT: Corrected to Focal package):
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/glibc/glibc-doc_2.31-0ubuntu9_all.deb
You may need to copy the link, then click and paste it in browser tab and select "go to" for it to start the download since the forum function does not like to link to direct downloads.
When I boot into the recovery mode it lists the kernel panic and stops the boot so that is not an option. I think the library should have an update to warn you about uninstalling it. The system is overused so relying on other libraries might also not be an option.

I may have edited Tux in there so when I boot I see it.
Can you not boot with live media of Zorin? It should be possible to then backup your data to external device, unless it is encrypted.
@swarfendor437 I can boot with live media
But I don't have another 1tb hard drive.
