I just installed Zorin 16 and as a part of the installation process the installer recommended exploiting Virtual Box performance by installing Guest Additions. The installation failed with messages related to not having the proper environment for running the installation. I solved the issue by manually installing the Linux package build-essential and reran the Guest Additions install script. If Zorin OS is smart enough to make this recommendation, the Build-Essential package should have been included in the base installation.
