Zorin 17.3 Core not powering down correctly on Lenovo ThinkCenter M93z

Zorin 17.3 Core running on Lenovo ThinkCenter M93z. When selecting Poweroff, either from the GUI or in the Terminal, the machine powers down but then instead of staying that way, it automatically powers up again after a few seconds. BIOS version: FEKTA1AUS (cannot find a later version). I have disabled and changed all relevant BIOS settings to ensure the machine cannot automatically power up for any reason.

Tried Kernel Parameters in GRUB (and failed): apm=power_off, acpi=force, `reboot=pci

Windows 10 and Fedora Workstation power off successfully on the same hardware. However, Linux Mint suffers from the same issue...

Is wake-on-lan or other similar BIOS settings wake-on...already deactivated? You could also try disconnecting connected USB devices as a test before shutting down.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, all relevant BIOS settings have been disabled, even the ethernet adaper! I'm running on wireless only and disabled anything to do with power control. The thing to note here is that other OS's such as wWindows and Fedora manage to power down the system on the exact same h/w configuration...

Try the dmesg command to see any errors that may appear as a result of this, hopefully something there can point to the cause.
