Zorin 17.3 freezes

I use Zorin 17.3. It freezes sometimes. I saw it happened when i used Kdenlive. Does it happen to you? What can i do?

We've noticed a few freezing issues as of late, although I'm not sure if anything concrete has come out of them yet. Have you switched from Wayland to Xorg? That would be the quickest thing to test. Also does it freeze with anything else, or is it strictly Kden?

Also do you have an Nvidia gpu perchance? And if so, what version of the drivers are you using?

I'm on Xorg always.

Can it be because of swap memory? Zorin has 2 GB swap memory. Do it need to increase it?

Am I right in thinking you posted elsewhere that you are running the Flatpak version of KDEnlive? The issue with flatpaks (and snaps) is they run separate to the system. I only use Synaptic Package Manager which installs the APT version and have no issues rendering and uploading to my Vimeo account. I have removed gnome-software. And I only login to Zorin on xorg (X11), never Wayland.

Latest video using KDEnlive on Zorin 17.3 Core bare metal install:

In respect of freezing:

The same problem on Linux Mint also. I was rendering a video on Kdenlive in Linux Mint. But on rendering menu i saw this: "Less than 124 MB of available remaining."
The 124 MB was gradually decreasing and the mouse was barely moving. Finally the computer froze. Firefox and GIMP were open along with Kdenlive. I was able to close Firefox and GIMP. This saved the computer from freezing completely. Why is this happening and how can I get rid of it?
