Zorin 17.3 Pro issues with Start9 Server

Hello. I have a mini pc running start9 server software and use my Zorin laptop to access the server and it various apps. I was doing this with no issues until out of the blue (maybe after an update, but not sure) I couldn't access the local server via its .local url, I have to use the IP address now. But this workaround is very limited as it does not grant me access to all my apps in the start9.

I tried troubleshooting this with the start9 team but after almost 1 hr of back and forth they told me that it seems the issues is not with my computer, or browser but with Zorin itself relating to the dns handling.

I can access the server as normal from another computer running Zorin 17.3 Pro but I have not given it any updates just in case it is an update's fault. Also, I have tried accessing the server from Brave, LibreWolf and Mozilla without success.

Any help on this is highly appreciated as the computer I am having the issues on is supposed to be my personal daily driver.

Thanks!

Can You look in the Software Updater what Updates are offered? You don't have to install it. Only for showing what Updates are there.

Right now there are none. I gave the available updates this morning.

I went ahead and just re-installed Zorin on my laptop. It resolved the issue of the server access via DNS but then it created another one...with this new instal, I don't see my wifi adapter.

You can create a new Thread for this. Explain the Situation and offer the Output of the Commands sudo lshw -C network and rfkill list to it. And say if You use Zorin 17 or 18.

wifi issue was solved here: Re-installed Zorin OS 17.3 and now wifi adapter is missing
