Hi, I've been using Zorin lite for a long time, and I'm not sure if Zorin 18 Core is a good option for me.
Here is my laptop specs:
Model: Lenovo ideapad-310-15ISK
Memory: 12 GiB
Processor: Core i5-6200U x 4
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520 (SKL GT2)
Disk capacity: 1.2 T
I have 240 GiB SSD and I can install Zorin on it.
If you can tell me about performance difference of core and pro version that could be great too!
I do appreciate your suggestions and comments in advance.
You specs look fine for core to me. SSD, 12 gig mem, 4 core Intel I5...all more than enough, to the point that I don't believe you'd notice the difference from what you are running now.
Pro is just Core with more options - desktop layouts, and a ton of extra software preloaded for you. Pro also provides individual tech support. Pro is somewhat of a misnomer. It's really more of a "Thank you for supporting Zorin through your $50 donation"
Your Specs are fine and should be enough for Core. You could use Zorin 18 Core in Live Mode on an USB Stick to see if it really suits You before You install it.
