Have just downloaded and installed 18Core in Virtualbox on Tumbleweed...
SLOW as... Running Mint is similar setup (4gb RAM) and works fine, but Brave won't even open in Zorin...
Where have I gone wrong?
Was already running 17, and working ok, so not sure...
Welcome to the Forum!
As far as I know, when You install Zorin in VM, after the Installation the Welcome Screen offers installing VM Support Packages. Do You have installed these?
Another Thing Beneath the RAM, what Specs did You gave the VM for Zorin?
Yes, have installed VM stuff...
4gb ram, ....
Playing with it again now, and think it's just broken...
Will try reinstalling.
Thanks.
Beginning to think there is some issue here...
Have reinstalled, 4gb ram, 20gb disk, 1x cpu.
Running in Tumbleweed (up-to-date), Plasma (up-to-date), VB V7.2.0_SUSE r170228.
1st reboot, came up with the tutorial, got to the VB extras install, and clicked - system hung...
Have rebooted, signed in, and get no further - minimal disk/network activity for a minute or so, then nothing.
1 more reboot, logged in, did a Software Update, and installed (totally manual), guest additions. VB Window went beserk... (flashing/resizing...) - trying a reboot.
Never had these issues with Ubuntu/Mint VB.
Would appear Zoring has an issue with the "Auto Resize Guest Display"?
Will continue to trial...
Is it slow in a particular way, like when launching applications or dragging window around, maybe?
Perhaps using KVM/QEMU, instead of VirtualBox, will give different results. I run Zorin OS exclusively on virtual machines my self without issues.
Maybe a bit more could be worth a Try. Of Course only when Your Hardware allows it.
