All he did was install Arch with KDE in a round about way, that is hardly for beginners regardless of what that video stated. Following this is why there are so many postings in all forums from people saying they need help with their system.

Which is exactly why I am taking metered steps back into Linux. I am lucky in that my needs revolve around the internet, shopping,...the basic stuff. I will eventually get into some editing of dashcam videos but not heavy.
I have absolutely no need or desire, or even curiosity, to install "neat or cool" tools that someone I do not know has suggested. I have seen how this often leads to wide spread chaos among other applications.
