When KDE Connect worked for you, did you had to restart your computer and login to Zorin OS again?
Sorry, can't remember but alwaus best to reboot after adding new software. I did install kde for it to work. It also picked up my old 1+ device which I used to take the photo of my Fairphone and computer screen.
