I have Pro 16 lite installed but Zorin connect isn't found not can I search for it in software. Is this something I can manually add or do I need to move to the non lite version of Pro?
Zorin connect is a gnome application shell extension, so you have to install the the regular Zorin OS Pro.

I install and use KDE Connect on my Zorin OS Lite to the same affect. They are essentially the same.
You can install with:
sudo apt install kdeconnect
If your UFW is on and configured, run:
sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/udp && sudo ufw allow 1714:1764/tcp
