KDE Connect is so lacking, but Zorin Connect is for GNOME. Any chance Zorin Connect can be ported to KDE Plasma?
Sorry this got missed. I have to disagree on the remark about KDE Connect. Not having any issues with KDE Connect on PCLinuxOS. Also just discovered this in respect of sending files to phone:
Given that the original post is almost 4 years old, KDE connect may have been in a very different state at the time. <_<
KDE has all the same functions and features, four years ago and today.
GSConnect is a fork of KDE Connect for use on GTK systems. ZorinConnect is a fork of GSConnect.
The functionality remains the same.
I must assume that the O.P. had an issue that they could not solve on KDEConnect that worked on GSConnect. Without their follow up four years later, it may remain a mystery.

Am I missing a post somehow then? I don't see a followup from the user. I see four posts (five counting this one), one from 2021, followed by Swarfendor's from five hours ago, then mine and yours. Actually I suppose I must've missed something; if the thread were actually four years old and dead, it would've been locked.
There was a changover when the forum started the practice of closing aging threads. Threads created before then were not included in the autolock.
I suspect this thread is as old as the forum, given the smattering of dust on it and ivy growing on the exterior walls.

KDE has KDE Connect, which is a better version of Zorin Connect, as I've been told.
