Zorin did something weird

I am pleased with zorin, have 6 computors, installed zorin on all of them that had differing 0ses. Was FINE until I installed zorin on a windows 11, simply wiped out windows 11, unlike the other oses, the others didn't hog the whole drive. Will not load any other os now.

Welcome to the forum!

Generally an OS won't install and overwrite anything unless it is being instructed to do so. What option on install did you select? Install beside windows, or something else? And if you go into gparted on say a live USB of Zorin and check Gparted, is there other partitions there that would suggest that Windows is still there? If you could share a screenshot of that, that would help as well.

Welcome to the Forum!

So, you wanted creating a Dual-Boot System with this W11 PC and that didn't happen and deleted Win from it instead? Or how do You mean that? Which Installation Option did You choose? ''Install Zorin alongside Windows'', ''Erase Disk'' or ''Something else''?

Thanks guys, wasn't given an option, which is why I tried the other 5 first. Didn't see gparted at all.

(1) So, with that said, we can assume you clicked on Install Zorin OS

(2) Then, we can assume you clicked on Erase Disk, as that is the only way you could have installed Zorin OS, where the installer would also wipe Windows off the drive.

(3) Incase you didn't have a install alongside Windows option, please look into what I found here...

Absolutely not, I have done many many installs, only thing I can think of is key loggers. I will read your window 10 reply later, middle of changing a front driveshaft.

So others have similar troubles, might help was a lenovo yoga7i smart login. It's okay just has me puzzled. BTW cannot install anything else on this machine.

Could you show us a screen shot of what exactly you mean by "not given another option"? A little confused what part that's referencing exactly.

Sorry, it is just that when you down load and install some Linux version, (believe I tried them all) they ask you if you want to replace existing OS, install along side or something other.

gparted isn't installed in Zorin, but you can install it with

sudo apt install gparted

or you can use the Zorin boot stick in "Try Zorin" mode and then enter gparted in the searchfield of the start menu and run it.
Another option to show your partitions is to run "disks".

Only to show what @StarTreker is meant (the first Option on the Picture):
