Hi! I have recently installed Zorin OS 18.1 Core and am seeing an issue related to my monitors.
Monitor: TUF Gaming VG289Q1A 4K 60Hz monitor
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti
My monitors are both recognized by the system, however when I go to display settings the maximum resolution option shown is 2560 x 1440 and I am unable to select 4K resolution. Is there a way I can get it to recognize that the monitor supports 4K?

And does the 4K resolution not appear in Nvidia Settings application?

What happens if you switch to Wayland and try to set the resolution in Zorin's system Settings?
For some reason I'm unable to log in if I select the Wayland option at the login screen, it just returns me to the login prompt.

Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? If Windows is still installed: Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled?
How are the Monitors connected? HDMI, DP? Do You use any Adapters or Dock?
Could You open the Terminal and type xrandr and post the Output here please?
I disabled those but it did not change anything.
I am using a KVM matrix which has my monitors, keyboard, and mouse plugged in.

I don't know what that is. Is this like a Dock?
It allows you to connect multiple computers to one set of monitors, keyboard, and mouse and then swap back and forth. It is a 4K model and I am able to get full 4K resolution in Windows so it isn't a direct limitation of that.
Well, it might work on Windows. To test that: Could You connect the Monitors directly to Your PC? Then look if You get the Resolution.
Ok - I initially moved the cables from the KVM direct to the computer, which didn't work - however they were DisplayPort to HDMI since the KVM doesn't support DP. I tried again with plain DP cables, and now it's able to set to 4K.
I can do without the KVM at least for now, hopefully I can find some way to make it work through that.
Okay, at least a Workaround for now. Did You checked the Manufacturers Website if there are maybe Instructions for Linux or an offered Driver for better Support?

I had a feeling it was a cable issue. I have gone through this myself. I bought a displayport cable that looked decent, it was even fiber wrapped nicely. However, when I went to use it, it wouldn't transfer anything to my Dell 4K monitor. I was forced to buy another cable, and that was it, different brand of cable, unfortunately not fiber wrapped, but it worked!
I never had these problems with older cable standards and older monitors, this only recently became a thing. I think it has everything to do with how cables are made, not all of them actually meet specification.
