Interesting I found a seller who selling laptops with operating systems. Propably this is core free zorin but very interesting and people buying like a hot sweet bun/roll.

Even with shipping, fees, and a 10% tariff to the US, the total still comes to just $230. That's not bad, even for refurbished, especially considering that's $230 in today's dollars.

I think I would still prefer a dedicated notebook ... with numberpad.
I think the price is too high for a laptop from 2008 (although those laptops were much more sturdy than the thinkpads today). A few years ago, when it became known that only 8th-generation Intel processors would officially support Windows 11, many refurbished business notebooks with 7th-generation Intel processors and older were sold at very low prices around 100 €. Now they are more expensive. But it's interesting that there are even used laptops with Zorin OS preinstalled!

I would never buy a computer from Ebay. Security reasons, and support reasons, are my primary concerns, with age of machine, secondary concerns.
I've already decided, the next computer I buy, is going to be a Star Labs machine. I can also get one with Zorin OS on it. I won't have security or support concerns, as I know that SL is safe, and they clearly state their warranty support. It is true however, SL machines are more expensive, they are not refurb's.
