Zorin On Xorg

Is it possible to install Zorin on Xorg by itself on Zorin 17 Pro ????? .... if so how ....

Its already there.
At the login screen after you put in your user name click on the cog wheel in lower right corner. There you will see a choice that says "Zorin Desktop on Xorg".
Click on that and enter your password.

Normally that would be true but I did something stupid a couple of days ago and in my zeal to install Thunar as my default file manager instead of the default Nautilus .... I deleted Nautilus and now only three choices remain in my login drop down menu .... Cinnamon x2 and Gnome and Gnome on Wayland ..... all the other ..... some 6 more versions of Zorin were deleted ...

I did this once before years ago and we (help from board members) spent days trying to straighten it out and only by installing a backup copy from Rescuezilla did we solve it ..... but that is not an option this time ....

Gnome and Gnome on Wayland are fried ...... by that I mean there are way to many features or items missing or just plain deleted ..... I did manage to install Xfce on the Gnome version but even it has it's problems but not as bad .....

Cinnamon on the other hand works perfectly with nothing missing or non working except of course the shutter sound on snapshot but that is not supported at the present time or maybe forever .....

The version of Zorin 17 Pro (before I screwed it up) that I preferred was Zorin Desktop and Zorin Desktop on Xorg but they were deleted ....

I was just hoping beyond hope that I could just reinstall Zorin Desktop or Desktop on Xorg with out to much trouble ....

Thanks for your reply .....

Have you run

sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop

yet?

Yes.
For the Core (Gnome) Desktop:
Open the Terminal and type sudo apt install zorin-os-desktop

For the Lite (xfce) Desktop:
Open the Terminal and type sudo apt install zorin-os-lite-desktop

I guess not but I could probably name 10 other commands that didn't work ..... I've spent many many hours trying to undo what I did when I deleted Nautilus .....

Everything is working just fine now and I have all my Desktops back in the login drop down menu ....

Thank you ....

Thanks I also decided to include Lite as well .... the more the merrier I say .....
