Zorin OS 16.3 New Kernel!

Today i got the new kernel 5.15.0-84-generic automatically.
Does anybody know what the differences to the kernel 5.15.0-83-generic
from before?

I've been looking, but no detail page is offered as of yet for the 5.15.0-84.

If the changelog of -83 is any indication, it will be bug and security fixes and improvements to the drivers that were introduced with the 5.15 kernel (

  • AMD CPU/GPU integrated support
  • rt8188 network driver
  • NTFS3 driver [improved]
  • improvements to
    • XFS
    • EXT4
    • another FS [thinking ZFS] I'm not particularly familiar with.
  • as well as other more recent hardware support

Looks like bug fixes to networking protocols, helper scripts, dkms, driver bug fixes and more. Most are inconsequential to everyday use. Security and big fixes and improvements to what was introduced in 5.15.
