Thanks.
Thanks for the response. The result displayed is "BOOT ubuntu".
So, there is no ''Microsoft''?
No, it isn't. In post 52 you can see it on the screen. I wondered about this, too.
There is the Windows Boot Manager Entry and that is correct. But when You go to /boot/efi/EFI/
there should be a Microsoft called Folder in Case of a Dual-Boot System
Yes. I only ask be sure.
Perhaps it has an other boot partition.
That is the Reason why I asked the User. And if he/she can confirm, I would ask to install GParted to take a Look at the Pastitions.
How do I install GParted?
Is it OK to keep this topic title open as I can boot into Zorin OS.
The open query is about two ubuntu entries in the Boot Order menu.
Create a new new topic related to my query??
Please advise.
Open the terminal and write the command:
"sudo apt install gparted", then click return. Enter your password.
Or if you don't want to use the terminal, you can do it this way:
Open the software administration (blue bag icon in the taskbar) and enter "gparted" in the search field. The program will then appear. Click on install (Zorin OS).
After it has been installed, open gparted and take a screenshot of your partitions.
Hä? Are You having 2 Drives in Your Machine?
Yes!
SSD C: - Windows 11
HHD - Zorin OS
Okay, and when You installed Zorin, I guess You take the 'Something else'' Option to install Zorin, yes? If yes, what did You choose on the Option ''Device for bott loader installation''? I mean this:
Did You have chosen there the Windows Boot Manager?
Thanks for your post. My post number 37 details that I recovered Zorin OS from a
Resuezilla backup. Honestly cannot recall what device option I chose. Before I did the restore from backup. I deleted all data on my HHD by formatting the drive. I then did a fresh install of Zorin 17.2 OS. Thereafter installed Resuezilla backup. I could boot into Zorin OS and found the status as I had before the boot error. With the exception of two boot options in
F12 Boot Manager.
Hmm ... maybe with the Backup came the Boot Entry and that could be the Reason to have 2. I would have 2 Ideas what You could try but there are both really risky and could break Your Systems. So, I wouldn't recommend or even suggest that. Maybe some other Users can give You a further Advice.
