Hello ,
I switched from Windows 11 to Zorin OS and my external wifi card (Tp-link archer t2u Plus) started not working. I installed the driver somehow, the adapter works but it cannot find wifi networks.
Hi, and welcome to Zorin OS!
Can you explain what you did to install the driver for this?
And, just to clarify, did you ever get the adapter to work under Zorin OS (or any other Linux distribution) or it doesn't work at all?
I found the ubuntu version from github and installed it and the adapter works.
The first thing I'm reading from there is this:
[Important] this repo is under scrutiny as the driver is not working properly , meantime this is working , this repo will be updated shortly
They include a link that sends you here, that should be the proper way to get this working:
GitHub - morrownr/8821au-20210708: Linux Driver for USB WiFi Adapters that are based on the RTL8811AU and RTL8821AU Chipsets - v5.12.5.2
Thank you very much, this really worked. have a nice day.
Now another problem: wifi is extremely slow. I'm getting 0.4mbps which is ridiculous
I already covered this issue in Hardware Support!:
