I switched from Windows 11 to Zorin a few months ago.
In the beginning I tried Ubuntu, Linux Mint and others.
Zorin was the easiest for me.
After a month of testing as a dual boot with Windows 11, I decided to switch completely and I don't regret it.
As soon as you get used to “something” you don't miss Windows anymore and that has something liberating about it.
Even my Streamdeck and my GO XLR now run perfectly, only my old software for creating websites doesn't work at all with Linux. Since I didn't want to have Windows for this anymore, I had to look for a new solution for my website.
That also worked and I am completely free of Microsoft and .exe programs.
I use Zorin Pro and hope for many more years with this OS.

It's all about getting used to something. I remember when I first used a Mac Pro, famous for how forward thinking the designers at Apple were with their super silk-smooth interfaces and supreme user experience... I hated it. I wanted to go back to Windows, badly. But it was for work so I had to learn it and after a few weeks I was already up and running with it.
The same thing happened with Linux: I hated it at first; couldn't even get anything installed! Yet, I've been using it for years at this point. It's not a matter of how difficult Linux, or whatever, is but the habit and understanding of the tool. I still struggle with some tasks in Windows because I've lost my muscle memory with it.

I am very happy to hear that you made the switch to Zorin OS, from Windows 11, with very little effort. And I am even happier to learn, that you didn't lose a thing from doing so it sounds like! You were able to get your Go XLR equipment to work, along with everything else, and that is truly stellar!
I love Zorin OS, my most favorite Linux distro, an the one that I have been on the longest. When I originally switched to Linux, that was back when Zorin OS, was on version 9! I tried a few other Linux distro's, which I had issues with, and ultimately, returned to Zorin OS. It really is the best OS, it just works, and its fun to use.
I am glad to hear success stories like this, and I am glad to have you on the forum. A great man once said, when knowledge is shared, everyone benefits. And I think we all benefit from each other's experiences, while we share our love for freedom, with Linux, on Zorin OS.
