Zorin OS Install Leads to Black Screen. HP Envy x360 laptop

Hi! Just to recap, my plan is to only run Zorin, no dual booting with windows. I am only able to get to the Zorin desktop using the Try Zorin mode. When I try to install Zorin I get the error:

Unable to install GRUB in /dev/nvme0n1
Executing 'grub-install /dev/nvme0m1' failed.
This is a fatal error.

The following screenshots and replies are me trying to fix the grub so I can fully install Zorin. The HP laptop came with Windows 11, but I chose (probably a mistake) to erase the drive and install Zorin since I wasn't planning on dual booting. Secure Boot and BitLocker are disabled.

ok, at what point did you disable secure boot?

At the very beginning. Originally I was following the install guide on the main Zorin page.

I also want to add that without the USB Installer in my laptop, when I power it on I get to a screen that has three options: Zorin, Advanced Options for Zorin, and UEFI Firmware Settings. Maybe one of these options could fix my problem?

Goto BIOS & check that your main drive is selected as the 1st item to boot from.

Ok. I changed it from USB to my main drive in the boot order and I got the same screen as above.

Sorry for the slow replies.
What happens when you select Zorin?

Side note : as im having trouble sitting & giving you my full attention.
Im thinking the CMOS maybe corrupt,
So i would start again.
1st,
Reset BIOS to default, or re-enable secure boot & fast boot.
Next
Check the BIOS (firmware/drivers) are up to date, via looking at the manufacturers website, (Even new pc's can be out dated)
if needed Download & flash the BIOS ,
Or
Some BIOS's have the ability to update with-in BIOS itself, with internet access.
eg;
Normally in "Advanced" setting. look for updates.

Next:
Clear CMOS;
Again consult the manufactures website, for your model.

Once at this point.
Set BIOS to boot from usb,
use the Zorin OS stick if possible, created via Rufus.
Hope by the time i get back your up & running.

Also double check your download was good via checksum. just to be sure.

Remember to leave the usb stick in until you have finished installing & manually shut down the machine. (This helps, as the machine will tell you if you try to shutdown before the install is finished ( sort of an extra safety step))
When finished & shutdown, remove the usb stick.

Then restart the machine,
Entering BIOS first.
Change the boot priority back to your hard drive, "save" changes & exit BIOS.

Hope you get it sorted.
