Zorin OS Launcher?

Is there an in-built launcher in Zorin OS? Like the 'Flow Launcher' one can install in Windows? Basically where you simply type to search in a simple text box like field and get instant results instead of typing in the zorin start menu?

I don't know if there is one. Possibly you could install this launcher:

What do you want to search? With Catfish you can also find many files.

Welcome to the Forum!

When You press the Super Key (the Windows Key), then comes at the upper Display Border a Search Field, where You can type in what You are looking for.

similarly on Lite, alt+F2 brings up the search entry field for the application launcher.
Does this work on Gnome, too?

No, then You get a Field where You can Enter a Command:

Ah see well... you can enter the launch command of an application in that entry field, right?

Yes. But to be honest: I newer used it or needed it.

I do use it on occasion, usually when I am in a hurry. Since the entry field can autocomplete, it can make a much faster launch that wiggling the mouse through the app menu categories.
I admit, I do not use it often...

The app menu is funny that way. Everything's nice and organized so you can find the application you're looking for. And yet when I have an app menu or Windows start menu, I always hit super/windows and type instead of using the menu. With the application grid, enough of what I use goes on the first page I actually use the mouse sometimes.

Alt+ F2 has been the 'de facto' method for launching apps for GNU/Linux in general regardless of DE for many years. I can't remember which Distro with Plasma would auto bring up a search box as soon as you started typing.

Since you guys are talking about Alt+F2, how do I know which commands work in that entry field? Like, I know that code will open VSCode and krusader will open Krusader — those are the only ones I ever use. But if I want to open Zen Browser, for instance, I don't know which command to use.

On Lite, it has autocomplete. I am not sure about Core.
But on mine, if I start typing the name, it will offer matching suggestions.
