Bro sorry for off topic reply, but I really need your help with a loop login, on zorin, pls dm me on discord. Sorry again for the off topic reply.
I moved this to a new topic, so there is no concern now of being off topic.
I removed the Discord I.D. from the post since you are asking for help within the community forum.
If, after building rapport with helpful people, you agree to switch to Discord, you can do that.
All right, sorry and thx for the help.
So a few hours late I updated zorin but before that I had a problem regarding a dialog box that always appeared when I started the OS, I tried to remove it by changing the password settings, as it did not ask for login, only the password when I started the system and opened the work area, after a while using the computer, I needed to leave and turned it off, when I called again the problem arose, it asked for a password when logging in, when entering the accepted password and returns to the password. some important information that can help you help me: TTY3 doesn't work, it asks for login and password and loop too, GRUB doesn't work, it opens a terminal and not options, I have a Zorin ISO on USB, Cannot uses the recovery option returns error to initialize the recovery program, in the last case I will reinstall but until then I would like to recover.
This suggests that the failure is not in GDM.
Which means it is possibly PAM, account metadata or home directory permissions that are causing the issue.
The only way I can see avoiding a reinstall is to be as detailed about what you did as possible.
Even if we can help you recover - missing anything in this step can lead to critical errors later.
Which - I admit - I would highly recommend backing up all personal data and performing a fresh install instead just on these grounds.
the dialog boxes from before were from programs that ask for authentication to work correctly, like brave for example to manage passwords, as before I didn't have the login screen with a password, the programs asked for this password when I entered the work area. This was bothering me so I tried to remove them by looking in the password settings and disabling some options that I can't remember now. After this and turn off the PC the loop problem occurred. I used the USB Zorin ISO to try to change the password a few times, but the problem didn't solve it. I deleted the keyring files like user.keyring but that didn't work either. I don't know if the system saves error logs automatically, but if so I'll send it to you for analysis.
This would bother anyone. Fortunately, the browser asking to unlock the keyring is a pretty common complaint, so the solutions are well covered.
This... however, is where we run into trouble. It's not your fault. And I do not remember what I did yesterday, even. Probably was kidnapped by aliens.
Adding to this attempts to change your login system password - I am sorry but I think a reinstall is your Best Choice.
With a fresh install, we can then help, a step at a time with any configuration issues.
