If Zorin 16 is nearing release then I am happy to wait and give that a try. Thanks for all your help.
I'll keep this post updated if I do find a solution in the meantime.
It may be April according to a Post made recently by Azorin.
My thinking is just that the newer kernel may be the way to go and Zorin 16 comes with 5.8.
