Zorin suspend on closed lid

Evening! Need to continue this discussion.
moving from both Apple OS and Win OS, I'm shocked that there's no setting for the CLOSED LID option - very very used to setting it to suspend, or even shut down would be good. Currently, closing lid locks the system and a hard power-off reboot is required.
are there any options (even terminal approach) to address this successfully in Zorin?

Welcome to the forum!

It's frustrating when basic options (imo) are missing like this. There are multiple ways to fix it, however. The option I'll show you is going to be through dconf editor. You can download and install this through the software centre as any normal program.

Once installed, you're going to want to navigate to:

Under here you'll have many options to change with your lid closed dependant on battery plugged in or not, monitor plugged in or not, etc.
If you were to click on lid-close-battery-action, this would pop-up:

If you are then to UnCheck "Use default value" you will have many options appear that you can choose from:

Of course you have other lid close options available through this, and you can take a look through and change as need be.

I completely agree that it's not in the basic "Settings" app, but Gnome (the desktop Zorin uses) likes to do things their way.

Maybe I'm wrong but what You use isn't Gnome Tweaks or is it? For me it looks like Dconf Editor.
