Just wanted to leave a quick note here for anyone thinking of switching to Linux/Zorin from Mac and happens to be cruising the Forum. But has been discouraged by the infamous no Wi-Fi issues (a dance that i am familiar with from other Macs).
I have a spare MacBook Air 7,2 that is well passed its used by according to Apple. So i decided to use it as a test computer and try out a few different distros. With varying degrees of success.
I was blown away by the fact that after installing Zorin Pro on it. Every piece of hardware (including the Wi-Fi) on this laptop just worked out of the box.
No mucking around uninstalling, reinstalling, updating drivers that still don't work. Or hours lost searching forums for answers that don't resolve the issue.
How refreshing.
I knew Zorins whole gambit was making it easy to switch to Linux. But I still expected a bit of a fight.
I've come to really value when the OS and Apps just work. I don't have the same time that I used to to play with these things amd have come to appreciate how easy Zorin makes it.
