Just wanted some Wallpaper recommendations. Anything that looks good with the Gnome interface
Maybe You find here something:
While this does help I was also just generally interested in what other peoples favorite wallpapers are. I maybe should have worded it differently. Still thank you though ^
Take a look at these threads:
Will take a look later. Thank you
Ah, okay. My Favorite one is this: https://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?i=1347722
I use it with the Graphite Dark Theme and @Storm's GreyStone Icons. This gives an overall nice fitting Design.
If you like changing backgrounds, you can install variety
sudo apt install variety
there you can set up own pictures or download the pictures from different sources.
Or I personally also like the gnome extension "Bing Wallpaper" which downloads daily the Bing picture of the day.
To install the gnome extension, you need to install extension-manager first
sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-manager
and then open it and at tab "browse" search the extension. As shell-version set 46 for Zorin 18 (or 43 for Zorin 17).
To add something to the Usage of Live Wallpapers: It needs some Hardware Ressources to run. So, when someone has only limited Hardware Specs, I wouldn't recommend a Live Wallpaper.
For anyone interested I have uploaded some space wallpapers whilst briefly using Plasma on Mint, plus some alien icons for you to play with (and make a better job than I did of attempting to recolour the green alien head! Enjoy!
Two recommendations:

Both of these are bookmarks I use for free wallpaper. I really like unsplash!
I have made some Zorin OS wallpapers:

Here's my December 2025 land and sky scapes:
Note that some are labeled 'PANO' - testing the Panoramic function of the official Fairphone Photo App.
I really need to drink more coffee
I read that as, testing the pandemic function. I was like, nope no thank you please, I had enough of that in 2020. My fingers need masks to type, look at those cute finger booties. ![]()
I have noticed though that the official app is not as good as the open source one which I also used for some of the better (clearer) photos. The official app makes images over sharp to the point they look blurry (@Mikeart would know the official terminology - excessive noise?) compared to the open source one as there is no way of tweaking image size in the official camera app.
Original was 1.8 Mb
Original was over 5 Mb
In case anyone is wondering, the bird feeder is positioned on the stump of what was a 40 ft Leylandi that I felled single-handedly using nothing but a pruning saw, extending ladders and semi-stretching 50 meters of climbing rope, is because when it was in hanging position the gale force winds blew it off.
