Brave, screen freeze, then black with text looping

Now i have just openned brave, my screen frozed, than it god black and a bunch of lines and lines of code appeared in a loop, i have forced a restard and appearently its back to normal. Here some videos from my phone:

brave freezing then dumping a wall of text is the gpu driver dying into the console for me

-journalctl -b -1 -p err | tail -100

-lspci -nnk | rg -i 'vga|3d|display'

if nvidia, turn off hardware acceleration in brave for a bit. paste that journal chunk if u can grab it after reboot

I have changed the title of this thread to better describe the issue encountered.

Your Linke require a Login.

Because of Your Issue: Is Brave installed as Flatpak or .deb Package? Is this a fresh Installation? Did You used Brave before and it worked?

Is the Zorin apt instalation, i am using Zorin for almost 2 years and this never happened before

So basicly my processor is dying? Cuz my gpu is Vega 8, which is an integrated gpu. Also i have tried these command and i got the usual "command not found, try installing it", i think you have seen before

Did You tried it with reinstall Brave? You can do that with sudo apt reinstall brave-browser via Terminal.

I think the answer is yes, but i think it installed the flatpak version that gave me some headache from this post:

nah ur cpu isnt dying. vega 8 is the igpu and that text dump is amdgpu/kernel falling into console for me

rg was just ripgrep. use grep instead:
-journalctl -b -1 -p err | tail -100
-lspci -nnk | grep -iE 'vga|3d|display'

apt reinstall of brave is fine. also turn off hardware acceleration in brave://settings/system for a bit, vega + brave gl can do that

Could you give me the output of

apt-cache policy linux-firmware-amd-graphics

For what it worth I let you read that and decide what you want to do

Hey sorry for letting you to wait, this is a command for the terminal isn't it? I have tried and got this error "N: Impossible to find the package linux-amd-graphics.

could you do that in terminal and give me the output:

sudo apt update

All normal apparently, i typed a sudo apt upgrade, seeing something called "ghost-script-x" from ubuntu5.14_amd64.

And this please:

apt-cache policy linux-firmware
apt-mark showhold
apt-cache policy linux-firmware

I don't know what this means:

linux-firmware:
Installed: 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.42
Candidate: 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.42

apt-mark showhold doesn't do anything, tried with sudo and no results either.

You are under Zorin 17.3 apparently.
Important information !
give me the output of

uname -r

Yes i am on 17.3, forgot to add it to the tags, here is the output:
6.8.0-138-generic.

Also is there a 6.9.0? Because sometimes when i update my system via the update manager app another update popup appears and, unless i am going nuts, i got downgraded from a 6.9.0 back to 6.8.0.

FYI. I'm am on Z17.3 Core by choice.
I can tell you linux kernel 6.8.0-138 is the last one I received via normal updates.
