On desktop (yknow the place when theres no apps?) there are folders.
If you go into a folders property you can manually change the icon of the folder to whatever you want. When I do this, The folder in nautilis / Files is affected, But on desktop it is not.
Not a bug at all, desktop is not managed by nautilus, you need to edit your desktop file to change the icon...

It's not a desktop file. It's a folder.
And this "change a folders icon" feature, Is actually a missing feature. Let me explain:
When you change the folders icon (No matter the file editor) there will be a hidden file called ".directory" directly inside the folder with it's icon changed.
That file holds data specific to the folder. For example, My one, Only holds this:
[Desktop Entry]
Icon=/home/[!!notactuallymyusername!!]/Desktop/PvZ Folder/Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition/ico.png
This feature isn't specific to nautilis; It's actually on Dolphin too (I don't know about other file managers)! And KDE supports it.
So right lick on it like you did in nautilus to change the icon, like I repeat it's not managed by nautilus

Yes, that's what I did in order to change the folders icon.
The problem is that the icon doesn't change on the desktop. Which I'm assuming is a missing feature that doesn't check for the .directory file.
Did you try to logout and login again?
I've reset my PC a few times since I've changed it. (yknow cuz... I stop using my PC every now and then lol)

It doesn't let me change the icon on desktop. I went into common properties, The "pencil" icon or whatever it is, Just isn't there, So I can't change it.
I just saw that I have normal properties too, But that's the same properties app or customization thing that was on normal nautilis.
On the common properties option the Folder's icon wasn't a folder instead it was a paper icon (yknow how software uses a paper icon once it doesn't find an icon via directory) I think thats whats going on?
When you want to change the icon of an app, right-click on it and open it with a text editor and then change the line of the .desktop file which begins with Icon= and set the path to your icon there.
But the .directory file has a correct icon path.
Maybe it's a problem with folders having spaces in them?
Maybe nautilis did think of that and the desktop didn't?

Yes I right-clicked the icon on desktop to change it (well, not before I started this forum)
The icon format is .png, You can see that on one of my comments closer to the top where it says what the .directory file has in it. (with my username censored of course.)

Spaces are often a problem in Linux. What if you rename the image file so that it doesn't contain any spaces?

I copied my entire home folder when moving to this distro, I think I might've accidently tricked you all... accidently.
Uhhmm... well- the thing is I check if it's a problem with spaces via a different folder, with a differnt icon, and while it's also a PNG there were no spaces.
