After months trying other distros I returned to Zorin. In Zorin Lite, kazam is installed by default. In Zorin Pro, the same problem continues with the kazam menu. Any solution?

Kazam was last updated in 2014 so nothing has changed, and I doubt Zorin OS developers will take over development of the project. You can checkout some of the alternatives provided in the other thread, or searching around the forums as this has been asked many times:

I remember giving up on kazam, originally changed to recordmydesktop, and more recently, vokoscreenNG. I then use KDEnlive to edit and upload to Vimeo.
