Hello. I have a HP ProBook with a micro SD card slot on it. When I plug in my micro SD card, I hear Zorin make a noise as it recognizes the card. The SD card also shows up in the Disks app. However, it doesn't show up in the file explorer. When I unplug the micro SD card and plug it into a USB port with an adapter, it does show up. I followed the steps in this answer, but it's still not working. Searching online, it seems like this is a common issue in Zorin OS PCs with micro SD card slots. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do to get this working?
What is the file system with the SD card?
Are there any Data on the Card? How is the Card formatted?
It's located under "other locations", first screenshot on the left side at the end.
and @Ponce-De-Leon, the file system is exFAT. And yes - there is data on the card. Attatched is a screenshot of the micro SD card plugged into the exact same computer, just using a micro SD to USB adapter:
Is the card formatted if yes to what ? Also where did you buy this card ? Aliexpress?
Did You take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates if there maybe any Drivers for Your built-in Card Reader are offered?
exFAT. Check out the previous response for a screenshot of the formatting. And no - not from AliExpress. Here's a link to the card I bought on Amazon. I've never had any problems with it with my phone, Nintendo Switch, and other PCs. It's only the micro SD card slot via Zorin that it's not working on.
Hmm ... Then it could be that your built-in Card Reader maybe is not supported at this Point. Here would be the Question if a newer Kernel would help and/or a newer linux-firmware
Version.
