Oh is he not using integrated GPU? So he's relying on the processor and it's the reason his booting is failing. So even if he writes a new OS... Personally, id just flash boot and just before Zorin installs packages mount the GPU and once it asks to take out the booting flash drive also take out the GPU and put it in once it's booted in Xorg and then install Nvidia-driver-580-open nvidia-settings and see if it will reboot after those steps
I did that, but I can't get to the login screen because once my PC reboots it does not go to the login screen, it goes to a black screen and nothing happens
But when I selected "Zorin on 6.xx (Recovery Mode)" it also went into a black screen, however, it appears there was video input going into the monitor, it's just that it was all black
Does tapping ctl+F5 at the point when your screen is still visible get you to the TTY terminal?
Yes, my CPU does not have an integrated GPU. Wait, your asking me to mount and dismount my GPU with my computer still on as it is installing software? I'm no computer wizard, but that just seems insane to me if I'm being honest. I really want to stop using windows and zorin seems like the best option, but I'd rather try again a few months later when hopefully there is better compatibility than doing that... I'm still willing to try other things, but what you are suggesting sounds dangerous
Zorin is a great option and like I said about Linux, it's not as crazy to unmount and remount your drive as you might think. If it's being used! Then that's a BIG NO but all you are doing is showing Ubuntu that you have a graphics card to get the packages

before the screen goes black I get text on the top left saying "loading zorin 6.xx" and something else bellow which I didn't catch. But that always happens, but is followed up by the black screen everytime...
No, pressint crt+f5 does nothing... It's really infuriating, I'm tired of black screens. I really would like to leave this option as a LAST resort (mostly for the hassle), but I have a GTX 1070 that I don't use anyome, could I use to try and solve this issue before using my 5080 on Zorin?
Yes, physically and if the fans are going it's because it just the fans trying to cool down the GPU. Once you safely boot into Xorg Zorin then put it back in and install the driver like I said previously
Yes, this would bypass the issues, no black screen and allow you to install the Kernel and driver. I know you said last resort - but it is the most effective way.
It can be frustrating but that's just the learning curve of Linux. It's more about problem solving and having low risks due to it not being like windows bloat trying to run everything at once and keep it running in the background without your permission or eco molding certain programs. It's up to you if you want to change to something else. If it's really bad, I'd try Mint or anything Ubuntu related. It's just a problem Linux distros have with newer gpus with Nvidia because Nvidia JUST started thinking about giving better support to linux

me and my friends also had this happen that the system froze and the screen was black.
I advise you to disconnect the internet cable when installing!!
everything will work out for you, just pull out the cable during installation and that's it.

Different things can work.
Not connecting to the net and installing drivers has been a long standing tip on this forum for many years:
If it works in Live USB, then this indicates the problem is in the downloaded packages.
Not connecting, installing Zorin OS - then rebooting and connecting; followed by properly installing the updated drivers becomes the go-to workaround.
So both methods may work and as many members supply input - the different methods may lead to a solution.
I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Hopefully it works and I won't have to switch around the GPUs

As long as we get there together, eventually. Really hoping the devs can get the next version to support newer graphics by grabbing the right packages but I know that's a lot easier said than done

Ok, I got some progress! I mounted my 1070, however, I haven't reinstalled Zorin. I haven't tried booting Zorin, but I can Access the recovery menu now!!
What should I do now? Reinstall Zorin with 1070, try and boot Zorin and Work from there? Or should I follow the steps you mentioned in the recovery menu?
I would try booting and see if you can function on the familiar desktop - just to make your life easier. If it boots to the desktop, you can use either method; recovery mode or desktop.
If it can't, you are relegated to only using the recovery mode terminal.
